Overview:
SUMMARY The Night Auditor is responsible for closing the prior day's business in our Hotel System and starting the next.
This position requires a highly responsible and detailed individual, who has the ability to work unsupervised, take charge in emergency situations, and be an excellent communicator; so that the next shift and integrated departments are fully aware of what happened during these important hours.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Greets weary travelers who arrive late at night, completes registration and gets them comfortably to their room with the assistance of Night Security.
Answer incoming telephone calls and guest requests and handles as necessary.
Is expected to communicate outstanding guest needs to next shift.
Processes deposits for guests that do not show.
Processes payments for charges made post departure.
Ensures Credit Card batches are pushed through for processing.
Performs the Night Audit in the property management system.
This is a detailed system based process that is fairly automatic, however does require occasional troubleshooting, and the ability to balance an account.
Prepares emails for reports to various departments and other various office duties.
Prepares folios (bills) to be taken by security to departing guest rooms.
Have the ability to make a reservation for a walk in guest Is the key contact person for middle of the night requests, and will be expected to handle most situations.
This person will occasionally contact management (MOD) for assistance in the case of emergency, such as a power outage or system issue that doesn't allow the audit to proceed.
Will need to contact property management system support and follow instructions.

Contact appropriate departments with any special needs or requests from guests and complaints specific to their departments.
Demonstrate proficiency in Red Mountain Gold Star Standards.
Other duties as may be assigned Cleaning and sanitizing guest and employee areas to acceptable standards.

One year certification from college or technical school; six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, commissions and percentages, by applying concepts of basic math.

Ability to communicate effectively, both in written and oral form, with tact and diplomacy.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Valid driver license required.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
