Reporting to the Production Manager and Assistant Production Manager this role ensures the reliability, the repeatability and the safety of all shows protecting all those on stage and promoting positive backstage crew morale.
Previous management experience in a professional theater setting REQUIRED Who you are:
Professional supervisor with experience in live theater equipment and technology.
Detail-oriented & strong work ethic with a proven track record of managing high-level productions.
Previous responsibility overseeing multiple crews with an emphasis on safety and clear communication.
Positive attitude and ability to serve as the liaison between multiple parties with varying goals.
Willing to work nights, outdoors, and in a Utah desert climate.
What you will do:
Working with management, the Stage Operations Manager is responsible for:
Accurately scheduling, directing and overseeing the technical staff and equipment on stage in the Amphitheater, and (when time allows) other venues on campus.
During technical rehearsals and during the nightly run of all shows, this position will liaison with all department supervisors and crew leads to provide staff and seasonal employees with the resources and support needed to complete tasks on time, efficiently and according to company policy.
This position will be responsible for reading rehearsal reports, responding to them in a timely manner and confirming department supervisors and leads complete the tasks necessary to uphold the artistic and safety needs of the show.
Working with payroll and the production finance representative the Stage Operations Manager is responsible for managing crew's hours and the accuracy of backstage employee's reported hours.
Tuacahn has signed a collective bargaining agreement with IATSE.
This role is responsible for upholding the agreement to the best of Tuacahn's ability.
You will attend all production meetings, technical rehearsals, and onstage rehearsals.
Skills required:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends and overtime during peak seasons.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
