Overview:
SUMMARY We're looking for a capable, courteous Reservations Agent to answer telephone and email inquiries in a professional manner.
Individuals will employ sales techniques to secure and process reservations for guest accommodations, spa, wellness, outdoor recreation, and golf in a timely manner consistent with our resort's high standards of quality.
Incentive plans will be discussed and agreed upon before hiring.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Answer telephone calls, online chat and emails and communicate accurately and professionally.
Endeavors to find ways to personalize the guest stay, notating birthdays, special requests, recommending activities that meet the goals of the guest stay.
Follows a sales blueprint to actively convert callers to a closed sale.
Must be able to provide accurate rate quotes using software system and provide consistent product knowledge and resort policies.
Follows standard operating procedures for communicating details, such as guest dietary needs, transportation, birthdays, anniversaries, special room requests and the like.
Will take advance deposit payments.
Become proficient in software programs necessary for resort and activity bookings.
Perform general office duties as required.

High school diploma or general education degree; one to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, commissions and percentages, by applying concepts of basic math.
Knowledge of and experience working with various computer software programs (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to communicate effectively, both in written and oral form, with tact and diplomacy.
Ability to work with confidential information.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with multiple situations with little supervision.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
