Summary:
The Assistant Principal for Activities, Events, & Performances at Vista School plays a pivotal role in overseeing the school's performing arts program, coordinating events, and ensuring the seamless integration of instructional progression and delivery.
This dynamic position encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including but not limited to managing events related to performing arts, technology, and academics.
Examples include organizing student performances, facilitating VEX robotics tournaments, and coordinating curriculum-themed community events such as Literacy Night.
As a key member of the Administrative Team, the Assistant Principal will contribute to the efficient functioning of overall school operations.
Primary
Responsibilities:
Coordinate programmatic events from inception to execution, including planning, budget oversight, promotion, day-of event management, and post-event review.
Provide supervision and evaluation of instructional staff to maintain high-quality educational standards.
Assist in maintaining discipline throughout the student body, collaborating with teachers, parents, and students to ensure a safe and successful learning environment.
Work collaboratively with the Director and other stakeholders to achieve shared goals and objectives.
Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Education with an emphasis on Educational Leadership, or equivalent.
Possess or be eligible for Utah State K-12 Administrative Licensure.
Minimum of three years of full-time teaching experience.
Ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, students, administrators, support staff, and the community.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated understanding of contemporary educational issues and trends.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
Proven leadership experience in working with professional staff, students, and the community.
Alignment with the academic goals and philosophy of Vista School.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Background experience and knowledge related to performing arts in educational settings.
Demonstrated experience in managing complex organizational schedules with competing priorities.
Ability to thrive in unpredictable and occasionally stressful work environments.
Strong collaborative skills with faculty, students, and administrators.
